TERRY'S TOP TIPS

• Just be yourself, don’t try too hard to impress and let your natural talent shine.

• Stay calm, don’t be intimidated by the bookers, after all, most of them have been there, seen it, done it and got the “Showcase T-Shirt” so they already understand what you’re going through.

• Don’t expect the bookers to act like an audience, an actor doesn’t go for an audition and get a standing ovation, it is a job interview to a certain extent. So just do your material.

• Comedians bring your own Undertaker - seriously, just be slick not too offensive.

• Make sure you keep to your time, if anything be under, you’re only going to frustrate other acts, crew & bookers by going over your time.

• When you are interviewed by the Compere, sell yourself and your act, it’s your chance to mention what we haven’t seen!

• Be nice to everybody, nobody likes an egotistical act and you never know who you’re talking to and what connections they have in this small ‘Fish Pond’ Industry called Showbiz.

• Now go out there and ENTERTAIN!
